We Grow United

We Grow United is a concept whereby we (the collective) can Grow

Grow in consciousness as individuals who feed and nurture others;

Grow in the spread of agricultural technologies and methods;

Grow the planet in the cultivation of plants and natural resources; and

Grow as a community in character, empathy, and humility.

United, We Can Grow!

Background and Rational:  If recent trends continue, the number of people affected by hunger will surpass 840 million by 2030. Food insecurity has become a serious threat to the global population. It is more urgent than ever that we take action as a global community to ensure the citizens of the world are able to access the nourishment required for a healthy sustainable population. A profound change of the global food and agriculture system, which includes increasing agricultural productivity and sustainable food production, is imperative if we are to nourish all of the world’s population and alleviate hunger.

Project Aim: In collaboration with Partners for Patients NGO, We Grow United aims to develop systems to aid in food security in remote, impoverished and underserved and vulnerable communities by using modern technologies and ideas.

Objective: The objectives of this project include working towards:

    • Ensuring all people have access to nutritious and sufficient food all year round.
    • Increasing agricultural productivity and incomes of small-scale food producers, including women, indigenous people, family farmers and more.
    • Ensuring secure and equal access to land, knowledge, financial services, and other productive resources.
    • Implementing resilient agricultural practices in an effort to adapt to climate change.
    • Maintaining the genetic diversity of seeds, cultivating plants and related wild species.
    • Increasing investment in rural infrastructure, agricultural research, and technological development.
    • And more.

Solution:

    • Implementation of modern technologies, which provide sustainable and practical farming methods, by providing seeds, agricultural technology, assistance, and knowledge to communities in need.
    • Boost local economies and communities by providing agricultural training and education leading to increased agricultural productivity, sustainable food production and increased jobs in the agricultural sector.
