In September 2023, Partners for Patients NGO received an endorsement from the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) of the African Union (AU) to co-create an African patient-focused healthcare access agenda, under Partners for Patients NGO PPPP™ Partnerships.

In order to achieve the objectives and goals of this endorsement, Partners for Patients NGO agreed to assist in the planning and execution of the first special PAP plenary session on access to medicines and diagnostics in Africa.
