September 30, 2025-New York, NY, The Pan African Parliament of the African Union & Partners For Patients NGO today announced the signing of an exclusive 10-year partnership agreement marking a historic, first-of-its-kind collaboration to advance transformative healthcare initiatives across all 55 African Union member states. The agreement underscores the principle that health is a catalyst for exponential economic growth.

As part of this landmark agreement, Partners For Patients NGO and the Pan African Parliament will launch five flagship initiatives — with more to follow:
- African’s Beating Cancer (ABC) Plan – A bold initiative for individuals of African ancestry and the diaspora, wherever they may live, to improve cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship.
- African Beating Cancer (ABC) Annual Summits & Knowledge Exchange Preceptorships – High-level oncology and haematology forums at the Pan African Parliament and across Africa, creating cross-border platforms for physicians, patients, and policymakers.
- Health Policy Internships – Offering students worldwide the opportunity to engage directly with MPs at the Pan African Parliament during statutory sessions, shaping the future of African health policy.
- Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Leadership Workshops at The Pan African Parliament and National Parliaments across the continent-these are Evidence-informed policymaking sessions led by global experts to elevate health policy across the continent.
- Continental ICH-GCP Clinical Trials Accreditation – Strengthening Africa’s clinical research infrastructure through continent-wide accreditation programs for healthcare professionals with an aim to build capacity across the 55 African countries.
The partnership underscores both organizations’ shared commitment to advancing the African Union’s Agenda 2063 — positioning health equity as a cornerstone of inclusive, sustainable and economic development.
