Patient Control of Their Electronic Medical Records
Project Founder: Dr. Mimi Choon-Quinones Project Leader: Luis Magalhaes
- PROBLEM STATEMENT
- A patient’s medical records are generally fragmented across multiple treatment sites, posing an obstacle to clinical care, research, and public health efforts.
- AIM
- Provide Interoperable Computerised medical information cloud based AI ecosystems.
- OBJECTIVE
- Eliminate the fragmentation of health information, be universally accessible, and guard patients’ privacy and systems.
- SOLUTION
- Giving patients control over permissions to view their medical record—as well as creation, collation, annotation, modification, dissemination, use and deletion of the record—is key to ensuring patients’ access to their own medical information while protecting their privacy.
